Hi all,
I have a 1981 Danbury with a zig unit, the van has no plug sockets in there. My question is can you wire up plug sockets straight from the zig unit or do I have to put a consumer unit in coming from the zig unit some how.
Cheers
James

The wiring in my van had a 250v supply coming from the hook-up to a splitter. From that, one feed went to the zig unit to power the battery charger the other went to a 3 pin socket.
When I re-did the wiring I replaced the splitter with a consumer unit and took a feed to the socket from one breaker and the one for the zig's charger from another. Since then I've added a third breaker and wired that to a C-Tek charger for keeping the starter battery charged if the van doesn't get used for a while. What Zig unit have you got there are a few different models.
