After 5 years of perfect operation my eberspacher stopped working. It turns out it was the pump which was faulty. I just changed the pump and now it works again.

Has anyone else had a pump failure? I didnt think there was a lot to go wrong in one...

I have several Webasto pumps that have gone west - they actuate but don't have enough grunt to push the fuel - one even pushes it backwards. I have found that they will work normally on diesel but on petrol they are useless. Presumably as they wear the piston allows the thinner petrol past but not the diesel.

Yes, its almost like it does not have the power. So much so i thought it would be low voltage at the pump. I took a risk and bought a new pump (its good to have a spare) and the pump works very powerfully.
