My vt20 has so much clear glass it feels like sitting in a goldfish bowl. I am considering getting the rear 5 windows tinted. I'm not interested in full black out, just a privacy tint. What would people on here advise, is it stick on or window out and prof spray tint?

No idea on cost so any feedback or experience of this appreciated.

I used to own a t5 some years ago (I know!) and it had optional factory fitted thermal glass with a slight dark green tinge which I loved, but I guess that would be expensive

Did all my rears including the louvered window with 2 kits off E bay. Best done with windows out. Cost around £40 for the 2 kits .

ive looked around as want to get the rear glass and 2 rear side glass tinted in my t25 best quote ive had is £100 for a professional job.

Fazzer, is the pro job windows out and spray tint or just stick on tint film?

Just stick on tint no Windows out,tried to do it myself couldn't do it.I think £100 is expensive but I have shopped around and this was cheapest.

did mine also when they were out, but did not attempt the louver window!!

how did this turn out? did you take the slats out or do them in the frame??

I am looking to get my rear one and two sides done, but not taking my glass out.
Had my T5 done a few years ago and it looked smart.

£100 is about right.

To be honest ive forgotten how the slats came out but I inow it was an easy job
Due to their size and being flat, easier than any other window .

Tried doing our T25 ourselves - easy (ish) on flat windows - rear screen was trickier due to curve.

We ended up having it done professionally - did a better job than us (but only really on the rear screen) - our flat window attempt didn't appear to be so bad.

Much better tinted as harder to see in & keeps it a bit cooler (looks cooler as well).

I did mine myself because I am a cheapskate! To be fair, next time I will get it done professionally.

If you are going to do it yourself your REALLY need to get the window very clean and smooth and make sure there is no dust about as each speck of dust will cause a bubble. Yes you can get some out with a pin prick but I wouldn't do it myself again.

I believe the tailgate can be a real pain as its curved.I went for someone professional to do mine.

We went for silver reflective film on the rear window when the children were very young (20ish years ago), both to reduce heat and for privacy. It worked very well, with the added bonus of keeping the odd tailgater back a bit in sunny weather. The film has now 'gone purple' and lost the reflectivity - getting the film and especially the adhesive off today is a real pain.
It is a DIY job, use stiff brown paper to make your pattern. Start on the outside, just run a smooth ended teaspoon handle into the edge with the rubber. Trim to this crease, then offer up on the inside, using a soft pencil and resting it against the rubber beading. This, hopefully will give you a fit a wee bit smaller than the glass. Using a 20 inch by 90 roll of film left a small gap at the bottom, but made fitting easier. Trimming the film was done with very sharp scissors, even though the instructions said to use a single edged razor blade.
Be lavish with the soap suds (fairy liquid in warm water), choose a warm but not sunny day and clean well, as per The Bishop. Old towels for the splashes, as you want the film to 'float' initially, until it is in the right place. Initially, thought that it could be done with the tailgate up, but soon realised that it was a crawling around on hands and knees from inside the van with tailgate closed.
The wetted film will slide easily, a spray bottle helps to put extra soapy water on the film as you peel off the backing layer. If you trap air, as I did, carefully lift the leading edge and spray as you reapply the film. Loose folds as you go will smooth out, but avoid sharp creases. A soft cloth worked well, didn't trust using a squeegee. Work from the centre out, use one hand to keep the film in place or you will wind up with it sliding into one corner, as I did. A deep breath, lots of spray and it straightened up OK.
The end result, blotchy and grey - several warm days later all had dried out and looked much better.

Any advice folks, on tinting the B to C pillar sliding Windows? Can the sliding windows be removed easily for example?
