Operating temp 1.9 TDI

just got my scan gauge working thank to SYNCROANDY's ECU .... Now I have so much info to worry me !!!
What should the running temp be ... Needle gauge sits bang on the LED ... Scan gauge says 92/94 degC .. Is that a bit hot ???

just about perfect :ok
mines at 89c, others report 90 odd. Hotter the better for fuel economy

The operating temp is determined by the thermostat, the standard ones are 89 degrees iirc ? As to the temp seen by the ECU, there's a bit of variance between different temperature senders, even nominally identical ones, and I think VW would have allowed for this in the ECU software, so I think a few degrees either way isn't anything to be concerned about. If it really concerns you try buying a fresh new one from VW and see if it makes a difference to the reading.
