Hi all,

Just brought a 2 litre air cooled t25 and it seems a little judery when driving with your foot half down (cruising). It's ok when you put your foot down. Can anyone shed some light on this for me please as I am hopeless with engines.
Cheers
James

I'm sure there could be a whole bunch of possible reasons, fingers crossed you'll get a few suggestions.

I had a similar sounding problem with my 2.0cu van.

Turned out to be one of the chokes wasn't fully opening, when the engine had warmed up, hence the engine wasn't running very evenly.

Guess if you're running a twin choke set up, make sure they are balanced ?

Other things to check include condition of engine bearings (rubber mountings on main engine bearer bar and gearbox nosecone) - deteriorated bearings can cause a judder. And CV joints (though these would probably be making a clunking noise too).
