Circlips

Anyone know where i can get the circlips which keep the pistion heads attached to the crack arms, i broke two when taking the pistonheads off my van and now need to replace them
Any ideas?
Need them asap as i want to have my van's engine back in before im back in work on the 2nd.

Con-rod
Gudgeon pin/wrist-pin/piston-pin
Think these ar the correct terms; so you want the circlips that hold the gudgeon pin in place within the piston?
What engine
(think this might help respondees)
VW or try GSF
But if you broke two getting them out, how are you planning to fit the new ones

2L CU engine
I plan fitting the new one's with my nearly purchased circlip pliers and lots of wd40

Just searched gsf but had no luck
Any other ideas apart from going to vw?

Someone on here may well have some, or know a good source, hold fire...
I would use engine oil or bespoke assembly grease for light lube during rebuild

had a look on euro parts but had no luck,
checked machine mart and they had a set of like 200 in a box and im sure one will be the right size i hope

I wouldn't risk a generic circlip in that position, they are not intended to be used in that way. This is a critical application for a circlip.
VW Part No.
N 012 30 11 (CU, CV) £0.50 each
24mm
or equivalent.

Think the only place you might get these are VW or Audi genuine parts.
