Hello all, having been a T4 driver for several, years I have decided to venture in to the world of the T25, brave or stupid???

I have just taken ownership of a 1981 T25 Campervan, 2L Aircooled Cu engine, bought as a winter project but to be driven too. I would like some advice re the first few problems ive discovered.
Blowing a bit from the exhaust, so on looking I can see gaps where the heat exchangers meet the silencer, hopefully can be repaired, but any suggestions of replacing the heat exchangers with something else, or changing the exhaust system.

He has been driving lovely, but ive just noticed a knocking sound from underneath, not from the engine, constant knocking with acceleration but when I lift the pedal it seems to go faster, any suggestions.

All advice is greatly appreciated.

No idea on exhaust but check outer CV bolts immediately. Could be loose bolts or shot CV joint.

Great thanks, am I causing more damage by driving it?

If its your drive shaft bolts, they could shear and its a pain to remove the sheared studs. They are quick and easy to check!
