Fridge lpg leak

This started when I pulled out the fridge to turn it upside down. The back is corroded and I can now smell LPG which is getting stronger. Can i just unbolt it to remove/ I'm trying to narrow down whether its the pipework of the fridge itself which has a leak.

It would be sensible to disconnect the gas bottle.
Then you know that you're not going to kill yourself, and that any gas smells are just residual, not fresh gas!

Good thinking on the bubble test I'll give it a go. I have got a cut off switch for the leisure tank but it'll take weeks to leak out

Just make sure it's not Ammonia which is what leaks from the cooling system of the fridge (you would know it if it was) otherwise it's a leaking compression joint

With the gas switched off and your fag out yes ... you need to bubble test all the joints as said before.

You need to get a gas safe registered engineer to have a look at this. Messing about with LPG is not something you should be doing unless you have undertaken some form of gas training.

^^^ That is no guarantee that it is safe! There has been one post recently concerning one such 'expert'.
I had a British Gas engineer make a new connection to a house - he left the gas main to meter connection loose with a consequent serious leak!
