Another Tyre Question!

I've just added a 16" Caravelle to the stable. It's got Ameritech 215/85/16s on it and I want to change them for BFG 225/75/16s or maybe, 245/75/16s (they don't seem make a 235/75/16). The 215s scrub slightly on the front, so my logic is that the 225s will have a 4mm smaller diameter, and might not scrub (please tell me if you think my calculation is wrong). 245s are probably a non-starter. I want to stick with all-terrains not muds.
My question is - has anyone tried BFG 225/75/16s on a 16" Syncro? and, is an even bigger tyre possible (without mods)?
