Immobiliser wiring?

I know this may sound controversial, but I have problems with my immobiliser wiring. It doesn't always work when I disengage it, so the ignition often doesn't work - unless I wait and re-try several times.
I know we don't want to give any unscruplous people too many details about such devices, but I don't think I give too much away in the linked photo. It shows the type of key it has - a flat metal circular thing. If anyone can tell me the make or point to where I can get more info, I will be grateful. You can send a private message.
