Been mentioned before. Be a bit of a pain if you broke one though.

Always worth doing a search before you post.

Several other vans have been displayed on facebook. Looks great with the right colour scheme, but then I've only seen the 2D photos, may look shxte in the flesh. Each to their own. As for replacing one, just a matter of cutting the adhesive with a cheese wire. Took 2 men 4 hours to change the windscreen on my JCB tractor yesterday, most of it was cutting and cleaning the old adhesive, looked like a real drag to be honest.

I wasn't thinking of the job involved removing one - more the hassle involved in getting a new one.

I've been on the phone today to a local guy who has recently fitted them to a mates defender. Im going to do this to mine after the bodywork. Might be finished by christmas. The guy said that he could, if I wanted, come out and cut panels to fit on site but would rather I left it with him.

If done properly I thought the rotting window frame problem would be solved.

Someone did it on a arsebook page recently.
IMHO looked gash as the glass was flat and there was helluva gap( they put the glass sticking out at the top) I guess during periods if inactivity, on flat ground, water will sit there so paint would have to be perfect.

Guess if one could find glass with correct curve in it would be ok.

I thought factory glass was flat? If I was going to those lengths why not make them into pop out opening windows at the same time like the rear side windows of two door cars. they sit flush but are sealed against rubbers.

the glass is flat, but the body isnt...the window rubbers as shaped to be thicker in the middle of the sides

Just my opinion but such a change is likely to be a transient fad at best (seen plenty of those). Expensive to do but providing the windows could be put back as they were, fine. I wouldn't buy a T25 with bonded windows myself as they're not going to be readily available should one break but it can be a nice look for those that are into that. However, with the price of T25s in stock condition either holding or gradually creeping up, I'd says its a risky move. And yes, the glass is going to have to be curved.

Bugger! Just looked a bit more closely , it is flat glass in profiled rubber into a curved panel. That would look really stupid if I stuck flat glass on it.

Back to the drawing board. I think I'll get tinted glass cut to fit the existing holes possibly without the frames? I never use the noisey old , cracked, sliders anyway.
