12v ligts/water pump

Hi, the Whale pump on the T25 sink stopped working on our last trip, probably because the tank got to low. I'm not techno at all but looked so
simple to swap, 2 wires and a water pipe. Bought the exact same thing of ebay, disconnected the Battery, swapped the pumps and reconnected. Great.
Not only does it not work, but the camper interior lights are now very dim, about half strength I would say. Any ideas?

Sounds to me like the leisure battery is dead, voltage is too low to drive pump and to put the lights on. Maybe fuse blown on split charger circuit or split charge relay gone. You need to check voltage on leisure battery and see how it changes when engine running.

Thanks will check the leisure battery. Strange as the lights were working normally before I changed the pump.

Thanks for all your help. So, Tested the Battery and showing as poor so took off to charge. Charger showing as ready within a couple of hours so assume
that means Battery is dead and is not going to hold any charge for long. Put it on anyway and Lights are working normally but pump still not. Followed wires from pump and end up
under drivers chair attached to a little blue box by the Battery. 2 little blue boxes with wires coming out and a fuse at the top. The box with the
pump wires going into it has no fuse, its broken along the top which would have been over the fuse and a bit melted what is now the top but
would have been under the fuse. No sign of the fuse, no mess around to indicate this has happened recently. Now the pump was working and I have not removed
that fuse so not sure what is going on.

Sounds like you could use a simple multimeter to do some diagnostics - battery voltage, voltage at pump etc. There's a reasonable one in Lidl as of today for £9.99. You'll find all sorts of uses for it once you've got one.
