VDO idle control relay module. I need some help.

I have had a huge electrical burn out. It has also blown my idle stabilisation relay and a new one is required. It seems these are rare things.
My part number is 251 907 393. I have managed to fine one but its 251 907 393A. Will this still work??

As per other post you need an ECU not an ISU.
Not sure about the part numbers, but Auto gear box ECUs are different from standard.

I have a DJ auto ECU (1988, made by T&A) which I want to swap for a manual one.

Thanks for the reply. I am getting confused? The ECU is fine I just need the Black box with the circuit board in.
I have found an old post relating to this.

I'm getting confused too:
I've just had a read of the Haynes book of lies, and they DO refer to the box behind the light cluster as the Idle stabilisation control unit, BUT only for the carb model.

For DJ (injection) motors its called the Digijet or Digifant (with lambda sensor)
For DJs the Idle stabilisation control unit is the matchbox sized unit with two 3way connectors between the coil and the ignition amplifier.

Thanks for looking into this. Yes part no.12 is what I need. Mine has blown. Inside the box is a circuit board with resistors, capacitors etc etc.

AFAIK any suffix will work.
Originally I had an A.
After 17 years this failed. I replaced the power transistor.
This year it failed again, so I sourced a D suffix from a breaker in Germany.
Although listed as tested and working, it turned out to also have a duff power transistor. Replaced with a spare (transistors are cheap so I bought a couple) and works fine.
Possibly some variants may set an idle speed of 850 rpm instead of 800, butI don't think that is a problem.

Well done finding one!
