Smoking Eberspacher

hi folks a job to do before I need to use it!
Had my 81 we sty for 7 years now, while periodically running my Eberspacher up I have noticed it is now stating to blow diesel smoke/ fumes into the van. I have checked under the van with the intake and exhaust and everything seems like it should be. Nothing has been changed was wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how did they fix it. .
