Hi all, after the chilly weekend spent at the Duke of York I decided that I need an Eber. However, having 2 vans I had a thought that I may be able to build a box into which goes the eber et al and the fuel tank.
Take a feed from an appropriate source and put a couple of push connectors on the feed and the eber. I could then move this between the Scoobyvell and the Westy as I don't drive em both at the same time.
Now this sounds like a good theory but would it work.
Supplementary query - if I buy a basic eber can I add a thermostat and timer? Have A level Applied Physics, so absolutely "pooh" at electronics but willing to have a go.

you have to drill two holes through the bodywork for the exhaust and breather pipes.it would be a bit of a pain disconnecting these each time you wanted to move the ebber.plus the ebber needs to be well secured can this be done using a box of some type...

Was hoping to plug and play but guess I will have to buy one and save up for another.

If you get one that mounts on the underside of your vehicles you will only need to have the hot air inlet hose going into your `vans, one less hole

If you want a petrol Ebber, OE type fitted to Westys from the factory (the flat type that fit under the vehicle) try PM to Maximus, he`s going from petrol to diesel engine soon, and may want to sell his petrol fired Ebber.

wouldn't be easy but would be possible, you'd need to have set of vents for the heating and a set of exhaust/inlet on each van. put most of the connections on to a multi plug main 12v and earth will need something bigger of their own. you'd need to make sure that the exhaust/inlets were well sealed each time so could be worth some type of gas tight box with your hot air vent mounted in?? personally i rekon it would cost nearly enouugh as a seccond ebber to get it to be easily transferable! i'd go down the propex route, much cheaper. how soon do you neecd it? it;s a sellers market at the momonet you would do much better if you could wait till summer when not many people are thinking about heating their van or camper!!

replace eber with propex and maybe there's a chance.
with one outlet required
