Whats the best option for fitting front swivel seat plates in my van
Do these bolt in?, I was reading that they possibly need to be welded
Any links for purchasing the proper ones would be great

Hi
i have just finished fitting the weld in type and found it to be a messy job .
The old seat runners need to be removed by drilling out the spot welds ,this left about a dozen holes in the wheel arch from the spot welds most of which were messy and needed to be welded up . On the inside rail i left the holes as the were not going through the vehicle .
Had i realised that it meant making holes in the wheel arch i would of bought the justkampers /bluebird type and not of damaged the vehicle .
On the plus side the welding cost £50 with me doing all the prep work and the seat base £70 so i did save a few quid but i would'nt do it again as i may have rust problems in the wheel arch in the future. Having a swivel seat is great though i really like the extra seat and space it gives .

I don't see the point of swivel bases? My van has got captain's seats and I can slide the passenger seat off, turn it around, and slide it back on in less than a minute. When it's back on the runners it slides forward far enough so the arm on the seat doesn't hit the door handle when the door closes.

Only second hand, and usually for silly money. A decent pair with working arm rests etc. normally sell for £250-£300. There's a pair on e-bay that need a bit of work at the moment ;)

Any standard VW seat will slide off the runners and turn around though.

Will this universal seat fit the T25
I emailed the supplier but they were not shure about the specific model it will fit

Demelza83: that is a factory fitted Westy swivel base. Bolt the seat down again, push wire handle down (should have a plastic knob iirc but I am no Westy type) and the seat goes round.
That's it.
If its too tight to turn then the four bokts in the curcular centre plate need backing off a tad.
