Fuel filter?

Noticed today that i appear to have the large fuel filter designed for a fuel injected engine rather than the basic universal type for carburettor engines. Mines a 1.9DG.

Is this a problem, a good thing, or doesn't matter? My main reason for asking is that the filter is just hanging on tie wraps so inwas looking at getting a proper bracket. That's when I realised that maybe I don't have the right filter.

Cheers

Large one is metal, coke can size, held by a rubber mounted bracket. Bigger fuel throughput for sure.

No idea on suitability for a DG though. .. Probably fine I'm guessing, if you've been running it :-)

When it goes, swap it for a disposable one as they're cheaper and really easy to replace.
