Diesel - petrol dash clock cluster....

Hi guys, can anyone tell me if the PCB is interchangeable between diesel and petrol models..?
Waiting for the elusive PCB to come up on flea-bay and there always seems to be a petrol one up for grabs but never a diesel... For the record it's a 1986 bottom-loading plug and not the side-loader that I'm after...
