Brake dash warning light

Still modding my dash - lot of progress. Now, I have nothing to compare with but in my Caravelle the brake dash warning light over on the left is split into two distinct panels.
Held up to the light, both are red and only the one section (with a brake symbol) has a bulb fitted. The terminals on the back show three connections, presumably negative and the other two for each bulb. What was the blank one used for? Was it a diesel-specific thing?

Ah cool. Right I'll bring that into use then by fitting LEDs to each panel. Not sure what I'll use it for but perhaps a blue LED would tint it purple.
Thanks.

I've never trusted brake warning lights. How about fitting a brake warning light failure warning light?

....or make it flash the words "STOP NOW YOU £$*&" if your temperature reaches a predetermined limit.

To resurrect an old thread.
The brake warning light combines the parking brake applied and low fluid level warning.
With a little fettling the warning light from a Porsche 924 is almost exactly the same and separates the warning lights. I picked one up on fleabay for a reasonable price. Took the guts from the 924 light and lens and put it into the t25 housing.
