Neither my Bentley nor my Haynes covers the 1.6TD motor.
What's the recommended manual ? Anyone got a copy of the VW workshop manual they'd be prepared to scan, or let me scan ?

There`s not much missing from the Bentley really, just the turbo and a different air cleaner set-up. Turbo isn`t really servicable, and the air filter is easy. Just my thoughts, I`ve got the Bentley and a 1.6TD.

BilboBlue, does the JustKampers manual also deal with non-TD engine related stuff, such as removing shocks, wiper/washer motors, door mechanisms etc, or do I need to buy an additional manual like the Bentley for that sort of thing?
I need to to look at the heater control panel on the dash & the window washer motor & have been looking for a comprehensive manual to refer to.
Thanks.

Swampy,
the JK manual covers the engine, gearbox, running gear, suspension, brakes etc. Its rely worth getting. All internal stuff like door mechanisms and heater controls etc I use the haynes manual. bettween the two everything is well and trully covered.
Blue.
PS
The front washer motor is inside washer bottle under passenger footwell. look under van and find the bottom of the bottle and undo a couple of bolts which are staring at you. Bottle drops down with everything attached, pull old motor out of rubber grommit and push in the new one. This job is soooo easy an only takes 5 mins and is cheap as chips. You'll be gob smacked at how sillent the new motor is!
