Correct distributor for 2.1 DJ

Hi
I need a new dizzy for my van: a 1990 2.1 DJ. The dizzy fitted is Bosch 0237 022 053 / VW 025 905 205N.
If I search on the VW part number, nothing comes up. I can only find VW 025 905 205AF. Anyone know what the difference is between the N and AF variants? The AF seems to be for the DG engine, but several websites seem to list it as suitable for a DJ (e.g. CoolAir, JK).
To confuse matters further, Brickwerks states that the DJ should have Bosch 0237 022 054. So does that mean it's been swapped over at some point?
