Does anyone know a reliable mechanic who could fit my refurbished carburetor? Happy to pay someone from here who knows how to do it.

You could give Darren Campbell a call from VW Airfix Stanley Park Road Carshalton 02086473898, not sure if he is mobile but may know someone who can help you out.
