4 speed gear linkage service

Hi, I'm in a bit of bother here, one of the tips has broken off my front shifter rod.
There is a picture of one on the wiki, file name: Fourspeedp7.jpg with the comment, I'm unaware of any replacments!
This is not good - any suggestions? I prefer new to s/hand.
Thanks, Dave.

If its the metal broken, just get a piece welded on. If you're talking about the plastic ends you can order from Brickwerks (or in some cases even use tight-fitting plastic hose as replacement).

I did look on brickwerks, vw heritage & jk before posting maybe I missed it will look again.
It's the plastic thats broken, it looks to be molded on, so appears to be non replacable, I thought it would have to be the whole end replaced, will look into the tube idea if all else fails.

Now fitted, not driven yet but selects well on the drive. Also replaced all bearings & boots on the linkage, much better.

Been giving it a final check, watching the shift action from underneath.
Noticed somting that looks different on mine to all pics I have seen so far, the welded on ledge/reverse catch on mine seems to be bent up more than any others I have seen. The bend is in two stages, ie- it changes after leaving the surface it's welded to.
Does anyone know the correct dimension from the lowest part of the ledge to the base of the housing?
Thanks, Dave.
