Propex 1600 fan not working

Hello, following the purchase of my camper i'm beginning to discover the delights of ownership along with the emerging list of jobs to be done, I have had some great advise from the forum so far and jobs are ongoing. Sat in the van last night cup of tea in hand and getting quite chilly, Ah the propex heater time to try... nothing!

All the lights on the controller come on and there is no flashing, can also hear the click of the heater but on both heater and fan only settings, no blowing.
Rather than bother you guys I have had a good hunt around this site and others downloaded the original instructions and can find no mention of a fix. I called Propex and spoke to a very helpful guy called Richard who suggested it could be the motor bushes or even one of the magnets from the motor come off. He said to take the lid off and have a play with it. I have an Autosleeper Trident and was wondering how I can get the heater out seems the van was built around it? Is there any way of giving the fan/motor a nudge from the front to see if its just stuck?

Thanks again :)

The fan may just need spinning to get it going, mine was like that after standing for an unknown period. You may be able to get it going by blowing compressed air through the combustion inlet under the van - I think the same motor drives both the combustion fan and warm air fan on the same shaft.

Probably best to try with Propex switched off or on fan only.

Great, sorry for the silly question but where under the van and what would the inlet look like? Im guessing itll be near the heater unit area :)

You mean the heater outlet?

Not sure exactly how it is done on the Autosleeper, but there should be two flexible metal pipes about 1.5 inch diameter coming from the heater under the van, look directly under where the heater is. One pipe is the air inlet for combustion, one is the exhaust. The exhaust one should run to the edge of the van body, the inlet one usually finishes underneath somewhere and may have a grille or mesh over it to stop rubbish getting in.
