Could anybody help in locating some roof bars capable of carrying an 18 foot canoe, that are high enough to clear my holdsworth pop top?

How tall is the pop top? from the gutters?
Maybe the "paddy hopkirk" "van" roof bars...

Ford Transit semi high roof bars clear my Westfalia pop top and carry my kayak hope this helps.

Paddy Hopkirk have a bit of a reputation for being a bit crap. Thule make some that fit my poptop T25, although by the time you've bought all the bits they work out about £200.
A cheaper alternative is a rather commercial looking type kit available from Halfords. They work out just over £100 all in.

I bought the PH ones and they did many years service carrying 2-3 canoes, or wind surfers. The worst bit is tieing them on - a right faff. The PH ones can be adjusted in height which is handy.
