I am looking to source a Recon 1600 jx td and this company have one. TES aka the engine shop. Has anyone dealt with this company?

Yes, just been reading a fiery thread. Seems a tad controversial. I have found another one AW Engineering and can't find any reviews. Likewise anybody heard of them?

Have to admit, for a diesel, it seems a no-brainer to me. Instead of betting on exactly how thorough somebody's definition of "recon" is, upgrade to a 1.9 for a big chunk o' change less, and flog off bits of Seat/Golf/Passat/Whatever-generic-VAG to help offset the cost.

WBX is a bit less straightforward.
