Correct Distributor for 1981 CU engine?

Hi,

I'm rebuilding my engine and have discovered a few anomalies with the carburetor and distributor setup. The carbs will be another post, but the distributor is a non-vacuum advance model 231 178 009. This I believe is not the original. Would someone confirm what model should be fitted?

Thanks

Chris

Burn the 009.

Thanks for the feedback. Will seek a replacement on the Wanted forum. The 009 will be flogged on ebay (without ref to T25s)!

Cheers Chris.

Keep the 009 in the spares box. At least a points dizzie will get you home when the Hall sensor packs in.

To provide a useful reference for anyone in the future, the following link was provided by sendiw following my 'Wanted' request for the above distributor:

This company does exact copies. Give them a ring and they will mail order you one.
