Mine was there for a few years with no problems, you just need to get a legal sticker

At the risk of being bombarded by the I've had stickers on for ages with no problems and I've seen loads of cars with stickers on. :run

Stickers aren't legal they by their design can't comply with the BSAU145d requirement.

Yes you can put them on, can you get a ticket yes, will you tbh unlikely on that kind of a vehicle.
A standard legal plate in that position should have no probs. :ok

I have an Alfa 159 which like many alfas has the plate offset to nearside of front bumper

I see enough "one life live it" farmers cars with the front plate in any number of places, even on the roofrack...
