I have looked around and seen how to repair this problem but cannot find any clear detailed photo's of the threaded rod and the offending nut that causes the problem, anyone done this fix and is there a way of stopping the nut coming off?,maybe a locknut or something,as I say without seeing it it makes it hard to figure out what to do before hand

Near the top of the page select 'interior' then 'arm rest repair'.

Hope it helps.

thanks Boxy that is the best photo I have seen so far,was thinking about drilling a hole through the rod and fitting an "R" clip and a washer or something similar to stop the nut coming off, what a crappy idea
