I need to replace / rerun fuel lines for my conversion. Is it OK to do all in rubber or should I try an replicate the plastic/rubber loads of clip combo that's on my van at the mo.

I don't mind doing the plastic stuff but can't find it listed (unless i'm searching for the wrong thing)

Any tips welcome :ok

Brickwerks do a complete kit. Given that the correct grade of rubber hose can be quite expensive I'd say it'll pay to replace as much as possible with plastic. When I did mine a couple of years ago I used 8mm kunifer, which meant I could route it all the way into the engine bay - I only have short lengths of rubber hose to replace now.

Hi CJH

Yep, seen the kit but as i'm putting a golf engine in the pipes don't go to the same place as on my DG and I also have a MK2 golf separate fuel pump to plumb in.

Just getting my head around siting that at the mo.

Seen some on ebay in all colours :wink:

Polyamide is what you want. Not sure if this is right size? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Polyamide-Bla ... 25a4e86fa5" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Ah, ok. The plastic is available on its own. This place has what looks like the right stuff in various diameters. Brickparts-uk on ebay has the 6mm stuff too. It's worth considering the kunifer too in my opinion - it'll never corrode and can be shaped very easily, like brake lines, so you can route it in one continuous length. You can get this in different diameters too, to suit whatever spigot size would be at the other end of the joining rubber hose.

I am also looking to do my fuel lines. I believe my fuel return pipe is mostly done in plastic. Are rubber or plastic fuel lines best?

I was looking Brickwerks do complete fuel feed and return kits. I trust BW generally, but has anyone tried this kit?
