Just checking, but I guess that vulcanizing rubber solution (puncture repair kits) is the best stuff to use?

Black polyurethane sealant/adhesive works well - repaired mine donkey's years ago with it. Sikaflex/Tiger Seal/Soudaflex - pick your favourite. Can even replace holes with it and texture finish with a bit of artistry.

Ta very much. Have Soudal and some fresh vulcanising solution so will report on results.
(Twin slider floor mats recently aquired, gotta save them)

With a tear I found that you can make a slight pad of it on the rear to reinforce it to avoid it showing on the front.

Just about to try repairing some rips on my cab mat. I have some black tigerseal that I will try to use. Any tips?

Could try some plaster board mesh tape to reinforce and work the PU into it.

If a small clean tear, then go for a puncure repair kit using the pads at back to close the tear - invisible and neat.

If a messy tear - use some gaffa at the back to hold the shape and fill over the tear from front with pU black, once cured a Stanley blade to trim and make it neat.

just my tuppence

Thanks, I think I'll try the gaffa tape trick with tigerseal.
I'll let you know how it goes!
