Tony, Depends entirely on condition.. do you know much about motors?
Drive it, or get another T25 owener to drive it (ask here, put you location in your profile please to help)

It won't change gear like your Golf ( I presume  ), but should select them all well, not make 'orrible noises, go and drive relatively smoothly - and of course, not be full of rust. The chassis themselves are usually pretty good, one or two areas can need attention but 90% strong as an ox. Its things like panel seams, door steps, and perhaps sills if they haven't been looked after or Waxoyled. Year?

Don't expect it to drive like a car - some do - and rush everything including gear-changes - that won't wash, but if steering, gears and engine sound good and drive smooth you could have a good one. Just remember you will be driving a 1.8 Tonne truck, and fuel consumption will be 25mpg max., and maybe more like 20 a lot of the time.

Don't jump till you've weighed it all up, depending how good your Golf is - Oh and check the underbed locker for water-ingress and rust, which can be dried out, but can have done harm. Straight locker doors are not easy to get any more, though can be had 2nd hand here and the load bed should not be a nightmare of holes and rust (if its covered up, definitel;y check it out). Straight dropsides are also nice to have :) Don't forget they've usually been used as working vehicles at some time during their life!

Most service parts can be got from autoparts outlets like GSF, Eurocarparts or JustKampers, except some seals and bearings. Body parts, partic. rear panels on Dokas (which is what they're called) etc. are not cheap, some not available anymore, but as above, 2nd hand spares can be had from a few suppliers on here.
