Our camper has a decent kitchen and worktop area but a couple of the doors look a bit knackered and worn.

How can we re-paint them? Do u need to sand them down first? What kind of paint can u use?

Thanks

When I decided to refurb my van interior I found that the units were covered in fablon.

This needed to be removed (Very time consuming) before I could sand and varnish.

I don't know if you could paint straight over the top of fablon, maybe someone has tried ?

Also worth bearing in mind, if you use an electric sander, the layers of wood that make up the panels used in many van interiors are quite thin. It's quite easy to get a little over enthusastic and sand down to the next layer and lose the nice grain effect.

I've used this in the past on various materials and it really does stick!

Albeit, never tried redoing van cupboards with it...
