Autos dont have a flywheel, they have a thin drive plate that carries the torque convertor and starter ring gear.

I have read the plate can crack which means torque converter has some movement, may be that but I have no experience.
this is what it looks like, yoh can buy ths plate new but silly money so ask in wanted section if your mechanic thinks you need it.

Was the starter nose bearing changed when the new starter was fitted? Might be worth checking.

Autos have a starter motor with the front bearing attached. No bush in the gearbox casing.

I don't think autobox starters have them, its a different starter to flywheel starters.
