Probably not to everyone's taste, but I made this today. Sums up my van and my love for electronic music.

My original transporter badge was damaged, snapped between the TRANS and PORTER. Bobby-gg gave me another broken badge to scavenge letters from, so I took an 'O' and filed it into a 'C'. Also grafted in the 'E' and removed the 'S' from my original badge.

Stuck it together with PVC pipe solvent which works really well on this plastic.

After cleaning up I sprayed some 'chrome' paint onto a flat sheet of paper and dipped the badge face first into it. Hasn't worked as well as I'd like so I will have to fill in the overspill with black paint.

I was wondering how to re silver my badges.I thought maybe buying some silver leaf sheets.should your badge not read transporter or are you a trance music fan.(I am as it happens)

I tried that chrome paint on the grill badge (Don't get excited here Westy owners!) it looked good for two months and then turned grey.

The finish on the centre of the letters is perfect, seems to be a good match for the original silver, I just sprayed a little too much onto the paper so it leeched up into the space between some of the letters. It looks nothing like chrome.

Will get the exact paint type if youre interested.

Mine looked like it was original to begin with - I am not going to bother again, sunlight makes short work of the look. Don't think that it lasted a whole year.

"NONSTARTER" - you could also make that word up.

Or Tiesto? To go with the Trance theme! Just need to make an I.

You could also do "NO TOASTER" or "PESTO PANTS"

I like PESTO PANTS and TIESTO, the 'I' wouldn't be an issue, just take a T or something with a straight edge and file it down like I did with the 'C'.

I have the letters TRANSPRTR left, if anyone wants something made up I can give it a go

Pants terror? Looking at the price for secondhand badges I'm surprised somebody isn't knocking them out with a 3d printer.
