Have you got country of origin docs chap?
If not , dating Certificates are painfully slow since the office went down to one lady working there now (anywhere between six and nine months have been quoted on forums of late). Me mate has been waiting since September last year for his

I have some of the Glass's guides that are acceptable evidence to DVLA.
If you want to PM me your chassis number, what age you think it is and an email address I'll see what I can do

Submitted an Estonian 'logbook' to DVLA that had chassis number/initial registration date on it, in Estonian (not translated) and they accepted it no problem

If you have the Lithuanian registration document then the route suggested by Elvis is the way to go, the dating is only necessary to prove the age and get the right age letter /numbers. As the vehicle is over 10 years old you also have an exeption from type approval
[https://www.gov.uk/vehicle-approval/ex ... ification/. This process is becoming a world of paid for classic vehicle restorers

I am trying to do the same with a Dutch vehicle at the moment. I wrote to VW UK and a very nice lady was able to send me a date certificate for free based on quoting my VIN to them. Very quick and easy.
type.approval@vwg.co.uk
As others have said there is no need for certificate of conformity or type approval due to age.

There's something not right about that email address as it isn't the VW domain name and vwg.co.uk isn't a registered domain name ???
It's good if VW UK are giving this info out for free, as I think it's now about £50 from the VW museum

I wouldn't worry too much about how Volkswagen's IT department have set up their domain names although I did think it was a bit strange not just using @vw.co.uk or similar. I think @vwg.co.uk must be across the Volkswagen Group and that that team handles all Audi, Skoda etc. The details came from the VW FAQ site. Unfortunately, if your vehicle is older than 1982 and has the older VIN style then you have to go through the museum which takes longer and costs more. Here's the link:

The domain name is fine, it belongs to VW.......... I messed up when I checked it last night and it didn't appear to be registered to anyone
