i have a petrol t25 fairly good order so dont want to dump it at scrap yard. but at service by dealer said head gasket was started to show a small leak . he said the engines as in now was not now available so do i find a alternative. if so what would fit. do i get a new gasket .now he said that the ally head and steel bolts break inside . and this is costly problem

i live in northampton so will anyone know fair straight people that can do a fair job for fair price . i have had it 30 years and lost faith in some of the hurbets that have bull sh.t.d money out of my pocket and its still had the same problem . in passed . new engine gear box electrics zig panel repray brakes reg service exhurst starter and so on i would set fire to it but the wife prefers it to me

You can get reconditioned engines for them, have a look on vw heritage or coolair... I'm sure there's a few other places too....


But if your engine isn't using water, and it goes well, then I really wouldn't worry about what the dealer is saying... More likely they're trying to get you to get rid, so they don't have to look after it!! Most places these days aren't interested if they can't plug a diagnostics into it!!
