Hi all I have a jx1.6 TD and in the middle of servicing the fuel filter .mine has two metal pipes and a plastic thing that a further 2 pipes fit to .I've broken the lug off and can't get the part .can I fit the other type of filter with two pipes on top of the filter and join the two fuel pipes that used to fit onto the plastic insert?

Yes it did work fine .I just joined the other pipes together to by pass the missing / broken bit and fitted a new alternative filter.Took it for a test drive and all seems OK .cheers Dan

That recirculates return flow to preheat the fuel i think
