I am not a smart man...

Having removed the old bodykit and nasty fibreglass bumpers I bought some nice shiny new black bumpers from JK. When I went to fit the new front bumper, much to my surprise I found a perfectly good bumper already there - it had been painted the same colour as the van and I just didn't notice it until I offered up the new one.
What a moron!
The shiny new black one looks nice though. Mmmmm, shiny.
So, expect to see a burgundy front bumper in the classifieds soon.

I would have thought that you would be better off keeping a very good original one (if it is) rather than putting a "quality" Just Krappers one on. JK don't have a very good reputation on the quality side - someone may pop up and have some input as to these bumpers from them which would be of help.

Reminds me of a bloke I work with who admitted one day that in the moring he had his pants half on before realising not only was he wearing pants but also trousers

Most aftermarket bumpers are a mere shadow of OE. Agree.

You're right. You bought body parts from JK!

The repro bumpers are short, the holes are biased to one side, they are lighter gauge and soft...
What more do you want?

Worst thing I did was spent an entire day changing the gearbox in my car (for a worse second hand one) only to realise afterwards that the funny noise wasn't coming from the gearbox and it was a noisy driveshaft!
