Hi all
Thanks for all the great information on here it's helped me a lot recently, now I have a question , I've got a 1.6 Aircooled pop top 1980 t25 and I'm replacing the crankshaft oil seal.the clutch is off and now I'm faced with the flywheel, everything I've read shows small bolts ,I've got one big nut and have no idea what size it is , it also looks like it's been attacked with a hammer and chisel in the past (before my ownership). My question is what size and where could I get another nut, many thanks in advance .

You might be worth getting a flywheel locking tool as well.

When I did mine I bolted a bar to the flywheel with two of the clutch pressure plate bolts [two spare bolts].
Use a scaffold pole on the breaker bar!

it's a bit late now but i would've suggested fitting a new big 36mm nut as well.

of course other people will say this is overkill and i don't always use a new one myself on type 1 bus and bug injins.
i never had one fail yet but i do know of several cases...................
