Fitting fuel tank

After wrestling with the tank under the van yesterday I have a quick question.

Does it go in with the breather crossover pipe already fitted (as shown in photo) or do I fit the pipe first over the heater pipes and then connect it up once the tanks in.

Second issue I have is sourcing the grommets that go on the float valves in the expansion tanks. Brickwerks are out of stock and I would like to avoid postage from Europe if possible.

Thanks in advance for the help

Mark

I connected the breather pipes first and then raised the tank. The pipes from the fuel tank to the 2 breather tanks you can connect later from the wheel arches if you turn the front wheels to the side.

I refitted my tank a couple of months ago. The crossover pipe was tricky. If you do the job properly, there is a loop that attaches it to the cab floor, so you have to slide it through this before you offer up the tank.
I used a block of wood and a trolley jack to hold the tank almost in place, then tilted it so I could reach to push the pipe into the grommets on the tank top. A smear of silicon grease on the grommets helped.
Also needed to connect up the fuel level sensor before finally locating the tank.

I couldn't find an answer in the Wiki so thanks for the replies. In the end I fitted the crossover pipe to the floor of the cab first. Still need grommets for the float valves in the breather tanks if anyone has any ideas.

Thanks
