So in the process of ripping my interior out as its not great, dealt will all the holes, rust etc now comes the time to move my batteries as they were next to each other in the kitchen unit next to the r&r bed with a gas canister... (Instantly removed when bought!)

So iv found someone to make me up new battery cables however I'm not sure how many ill need, I know I need at least 2 at about 2m as moving to front of the van but not sure if ill need another long length made up! Anyone any ideas?

I am totally crap with electrical aspects of my van, don't worry I'm not fitting it, just need to to get my cables made before he arrives as its a 40mile round trip to get them! But alot cheaper then my local even with petrol cost!

Imposible to answer really, far too many variables, I assume these are leisure batts and not starter batt?
best to get the person fitting to give you a list of whats needed, you can send him/her pictures with measurements in advance.
it's not just length there is cable rating and terminations to consider.

Place the battery where you want it, then measure the length you'll need to get from the battery to the other end of the lead...?

...and it doesn't matter if it's next to a gas canister.
Changing the fuel lines is far more important and far more dangerous if not done

It's both starter and leisure battery, fuel lines were replaced when I dropped and replaced my engine in September/October last year.
