pennine ultragrade sae 15w/40 oil

Hi looked on the wiki re the above oil, can't find an answer. I thought it was mineral when i got it, came to put it in but noticed it doesnt say mineral anywhere on the can or come to that synthetic, question is is it ok to use? Thanks.

Sorry should have said 2lt Aircooled, on the can it says meets or exceeds the following spec vw 505.00. Thanks.

VW 505.00 Oil, Volkswagen 505.00 Oil for VW

These oils meet the the VW 505.00 specification; the oldest VW specification for diesel cars. Now only really relevant only to pre 2000 diesel cars (with or without turbocharger). For diesels from 2000 onwards, the VW 505.00 specification has largely been superceded by the 505.01, 506.00, 506.01 and 507.00 specifications.
