Hey up peeps,

I've got an issue restarting my propex after the battery drained. Was told by propex to turn on / off within 2.5 seconds to reset; anyone got any experience?

This happened last year also but happened to get it started obviously by fluke!!

A battery that has been well drained, like to zero, is likely to have been damaged. So it is possible it is not reaching it's full voltage or current capability and this may well cause the Propex's battery protection circuit to kick in. Try borrowing a battery off a car just to test this. If doing that, MAKE SURE you get your +v and -ve leads the right way round. Some batteries have them opposite the way. If the Propex then fires up you need a new leisure battery. If not, report back and "we" can go to the next step.

Oh, what noises does it make when you try to fire it up? Fan going and faint clicking for 10 seconds, then nothing? Or other?

Seconded. Weak or damaged battery won't have the power to fire it up. May be possible to fire it with engine running as that might (depending on what kind of split charger you have) provide the voltage needed to start it but agree with Ghost, chances are the leisure battery itself is foobarred. Propex heaters very particular about their power supply.
