I fitted one years ago and it's been fine, It's not too far from me so went down and told them what I wanted in regards to outlet/inlet positions etc.

Ta, i think I'm going to get one.. But can only squeeze in a 40L one, would like more but I've been using a 25L jerry can for a few years and managed ok.. I have been hung up for a while on it freezing, but the amount of times we actually go away when its that cold is minimal

oh, and what did you use to sure the tank? Their universal strap kit bolted through the floor, or hook bolts?

I've got a CAK one on my Merc held in place by metal straps (not relevant to a VW I know

) to the chassis. If you want to be able to clean it out ever get one with an inspection hatch on the bottom. Never had a leak from it like that.

Hook bolts with a piece of 12mm ply underneath for extra support.

That's how it has been fitted to our Autosleeper, must have been exceptionally good quality plywood, still no rot or de-lamination after 30 years.
