My temp guage doesn't seem to work. The red led comes on for ignition but after its started that's it and the needle doesn't move. What's the most common cause?
This us my first air cooled vehical so sorry if it's a dumb question.

Air cooled engine are not fitted with a temperature gauge. I suspect your van has had water cooled instruments fitted at some time.
