Devon roof switch on Autohomes hightop.

Hi,
Can someone please tell me if I need the fibreglass bottom bit (the frame like bit which fits to the roof) is it required to fit a Devon type top. I've just received a poptop roof but don't have the bottom bit which it fits over.

The fibreglass frame is where the bellows fit to, and tidies up the edge of the cut roof. If you were to build a timber frame or similar to take its place, it could work, but you definitely need something to lift the bellows up a couple of inches, or it won't work when you open the roof...

Hopefully the existing wooden base won't need too much modifying. I expect I can knock something up. Thanks
