got a 1987 T25 caravelle 1900cc automatic watercooled.bought it last nov.have had a full service, changed HTleads points condenser starter motor only thing didnt do was change spark plugs as the ones in the van looked ok.When you start engine and pull away the van is very sluggish and it feels like there is a drop in power.to be fair the van has been stood for a while.after taking the van for a good drive out things improved but still not right.gets to 2000 revs and power drops.

When did the problem occur, after you bought it or since you changed parts?

First thing that leaps out at me is points and condenser!? You've got the wrong dizzy on there for a DG - should be electronic ignition on all DGs.

As above succint answers = ignition curve is either not right and/or advance just isn't happening. Will feel like the back of your van is on taught elastic

Please not let it be a 009 dizzy.

That seems to be the number for the dizzy cap. Did you take the number from the side of the metal body of the dizzy?
