Think I have a couple of oil leaks from the temperature and pressure sensors of my 1.6TD. I'm not 100% sure thought but if I removed, checked over, cleaned and re-insterted with Vaseline around would that either stop the leak completely or at least allow me to diprove its the sensors? (already cleaned up the vacinity of oil).

Unless they are actually loose and just need nipping up, you'll probably find the leak is actually coming through the sender. Meaning you need a new sender, only about a fiver... Can't see vasaline doing much to be honest?

If you want to put anything on the threads, I would think blue hylomar would be the best.
