Hi.
what is the best insulation to use to keep a westy vanagon pop top warm.it has no factory heater.any ideas?

Without a heater, all you can do is conserve what little heat there is and thats not easy. Lining door voids/panels with water-impervious insualtion (I favour the ally bubblewrap stuff) and covering windows helps.
I must admit (and I'm a daily driver), during the extreme cold days we've had, I've been VERY reliant on firing up the Propex via remote control not just to get the interior warm before I go to work, but to thaw the ice on wiondows and locks. When its that cold, I couldn't care less if I went through £20's worth of propane a week.
There are portable heaters but you do need a window open then (somewhat self-defeating) and you have to turn them off when you retire to bed.
The insulation works during the Summer too as it tends to keep the interior a little cooler.
